Quasi Periodic Space

Based on infinity and the golden section, built on an analysis of various sources in art and mathematics from Piet Mondrian to Sir Roger Penrose, the rythmic modular structure of this work connects it to the organization of cosmic matrixes in operation regardless of scale. The governing geometry intensively explored in a series of studies, drawings and constructions, these photocollages of mostly urban images cut and fitted within a pre-established but unrepeatable kaleidoscopic tile pattern, contains numerous perceptual and intellectual layers, revealing different aspects as we approach to view image content and detail or move away to perceive color, form and space.
